Present But Not Present USB Flash Drive

I have a USB flash drive that I have been using for months on my XP
machine. Today when I tried to copy a file to it a dropdown box said that
I had to insert a disk in drive G. The drive is listed in My Computer.
Device Manager says that the drive is working properly. The drive works on
my other computer which is basically a clone. Any help?

You may need to clean out Device Manager all entries for this drive
and let XP re-detect later.
