PowerPoint Help needs full help on options (Tools/Options).

Suggestion: (Created from inside PowerPoint through "Contact Us")

The Help system needs full help on all available options. On entering the
dialog for Tools / Options and clicking the question mark (supposedly for
"What is this?" help), a Help window opens with one to four links that give
general guidance for each tab.

Unfortunately, this information in PopwerPoint is sketchy at best. the other
Office apps have better help.

Comparison / contrast: In Word, the help on the View tab is 804 words long
describing each listed option. In PowerPoint, the details for the View tab is
three words: "About PowerPoint views," a link that only applies to the last
option on the tab, "Open all documents using this view". This link is
appropriate for that section, but the other sections, such as "Slide show" /
"Show popup toolbar" have no information at all.

Perhaps Microsoft chooses not to give serious support to PowerPoint users? I
do not make this as a blind accusation on a single issue. In the list of
discussion groups, PowerPoint has one group, "General Questions." Excel has
seven, and Word and Outlook each have eight.

Actually, the number of newsgroups is more a function of the number of
questions asked, coupled with the ease of splitting the various broad topics
we cover. We simply don't get that many questions about PPT, so it would be
silly to split this group into more groups just for the sake of having more
groups. Microsoft has asked before about creating a PPT VBA group, but the
MVPs have asked that we don't do that. The volume here isn't overwhelming
enough to warrant another group devoted to VBA questions when they can be
covered right here.

I have no doubt that MS will be happy to add more PPT newsgroups if and when
the need arises.

Regarding your concern about "what's this" Help information, I agree with
you.
