PowerPoint Error and Closes when inserting movie

I'm using PFCmedia to insert movies in Powerpoint. i'm trying to insert a
mpeg2 I created in ProShow Gold. I receive the message "PowerPoint has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." Then it closes and restarts PowerPoint. Any ideas?

Hi,

First, I doubt it is a problem with PFCMedia but it sounds more like a
PowerPoint problem. But the resolution depends on your PowerPoint version.
For example, if it happens in PowerPoint 2002 it *may* be this:

PowerPoint Has Encountered an Error and Must Close
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00533.htm

But before you do that, go to Help| Check for updates. Many of these errors
are fixed as time goes by through various Service Packs.

I have PowerPoint 2003 SP2. I check for updates and the Microsoft site
detected that I didn't need any further updates. I tried inserted this file
in a brand new presentation and got the same result. Any other thoughts.
Thanks.
