Version: Powerpoint 2007 --from Office Professional release
Presentatation created in Powerpoint 2007 B2TR
Windows Vista (Ultimate)
Problem: When starting Powerpoint (either from application icon or
presentation icon, a message box says Powerpoitn has a problem and it will
check the Microsoft site for solutions. No solution found, app. does not
start.
If I start in Safe Mode, the result is the same.

Just in case it's somehow involved, try moving the B2TR-made file someplace
where PPT can't find it.

Does the problem continue with it totally out of the picture?

Brilliant! This solved the problem. I removed the thumb drive with the file
and restarted Powerpoint. It did a Detect and Repair, and on restaring was
working fine!

thanks!

I may not have a clue why I suggest these things, but dang, I'm happy to take the
credit when they work. <g>
