well living in the southwest we can either buy beans in a can (refered to as white man beans :D) or we simple make our own, which is the more common way. With this said i dont want ruin a good pot-o-beans with ketchup :)

No problem - just add the extra ingredients to the cooked beans and heat up :thumb:

The beans sound good Alf :thumb:

If you are looking for a smokey flavour, then what you might be looking for is Hickory Smoke Powder, which you can add to your beans, or anything else that you'd like to give a BBQ flavour to. HERE and HERE
Perhaps this won't be helpful for this occasion, but maybe you can get some for next time :D

I used to add mixed herbs to my Scrambled egg that was nice. Dont know how much of a difference it would make to beans?

Worchester sauce?
i personally never had it, perhaps ill give it a try :)

so far im using a mix of Ketchup, chilie powder, bit of onion, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. It aint pretty (and dont taste like BBQ :D) but its not too bad.
Also its more or less a single serving- not for many people. Not everyone wants BBQ bean :)

Add a dash of nitro-glycerine - that'll give 'em a boost :thumb:

You Americans are weird, just buy a tin of Heinz BBQ beanz - problem solved :)

Or, get a small spoonful of beans, shake whatever ya got over that spoonful, munch away and see if it works.

But yep, like ME_2001 said - Lea & Perrins sounds like a plan (Worcester Sauce).

Just by way of mentioning, did you know true veggies can't eat Worcester Sauce - it has anchovies in it

Scuse I mate, it's spelt 'Worcester'. Let's get it right :D

Use it much like you would tomato ketchup but it's two most common uses are with steak and with tomato juice, especially with a Bloody Mary.

Also nice with baked beans and a squirt or two in casseroles and gravy is favoured by some.
