please help with basic Frontpage problem

Matt

Hello All:

I'm trying to get a website set up for a small law firm that I work
at, but have run into one snag. On the site we've put a basic form
asking for name, firm, phone, and email. The info from this form gets
sent to a firm email account that we have set to auto-reply with a
simple thank-you. Now, I've set the form properties (under options)
to set the "reply-to" value of the email (what the auto-reply is
replying to), to the email field of the form (what the user inputs).
Thus far, however, the auto-reply seems to keep getting sent to the
server anyway and failing. Any help would be very much appreciated;
we're hosted through Earthlink and they don't seem to understand the
problem.

Earthlink would have to set up their auto-responder to use the Reply-To email address. It is not
something that you can do from your end.

If Earthlink can't or won't do this, then you can not use the auto-responder.

Is a auto-reply really necessary? Just display a custom confirmation page with a Thank You for
contacting us....
