Please help to unlock folders-Adminstrator needs access

I've got a corrupted user profile which can be fixed by creating another
profile and copying the files to the new one.

When I try to do this, I find that in setting up user preferences, I had
clicked "yes" when Windows suggested locking files and documents so other
people cannot view them.

So Adminstrator cannot open old user profile to copy. I tried backing up the
old profile while in it, but it cannot be done, reason being a file is in
use.

Please help.

I didn't know what keywords to use and got nowhere.
Thanks, I've printed the instructions and will do it now.
