Please Help any help would be great cant install vista

i downloaded the 32 bit version and iv been trying to get it installed for
the last 3 weeks iv went out and bought a new dvd burner thinking my burner
was bad but thats not it. I get to 88% into the install and it gives me the
cant install box iv tried this on 4 other computers and its the same thing
each time i should have ordered the install disk from microsoft and then
waited to install the download version too long and now it seems im up the
creek here please if anyone can help im going crazy i want vista. P.S Does
anyone know where i can order a install disk ?? Im willing to pay

Hi!

Here are my experiences.

The first thing I did was to Ghost an image of my C: drive on my F: drive.
By the way, I made all my experiences with the installation DVD I bought
from Microsoft.

Experience 1 : Boot with Vista DVD and ask installer to format my C: drive

Step 1 : Copying Windows files : I got the following message :

Error code 80070241.

The step was around 30% done

It seems that many people got the same error code but with the DVD burned
by themselves.

So, I restored my C: drive from the image taken by Ghost.

Experience 2 : From Windows XP, I started the Vista installation

Step 1 : Copying Windows files : OK
Step 2 : Gathering files : OK
Step 3 : Expanding fles : I got the following message :

Upgrade not successful. Your original desktop is being restored..

Experience 3 : Boot with Vista DVD without asking installer to format my C:
drive

Step 1 : Copying Windows files : OK
Step 2 : Expanding files : OK
Step 3 : Installing features : OK
Step 4 : Installing updates : OK
Step 5 : Completing installation : OK

Bingo! The PC was restarted many times during the installation,
At the last start, I saw the marvelous Windows Vista with Aero Glass.

I've been using Windows Vista for 3 days now.
The only things not working are the USB.
Vista does not recognize USB Mass Storage Device : my mobile disk of 2 GIG
and the compact flash coming from my Canon.
And I get a Blue Screen once a day.
Everything else is working very well.
I installed also Office 2007 Beta and it works very well also.

I'm very happy to play with Windows Vista.
