Play All and Play Selection not responding

Hi,
The options to "Play All" and "Play Selection" in the
task section (left pane) of the Explorer window has
stopped respnding. It will not start WMP9. This goes for
both music and videos. I could however make my selection
of files, right click and click "PLAY" with no problem.

.try reinstalling windows media 9..I had the same

problem...or go to the properties of wm9 and their is an
option to play media files automatically in windows
explorer....good luck

Additional comments:
The registry patch described on Q322642 didn't work on my system.
The article did however explained that the problem is caused by installation
or
removal routine that improperly removed registry entries. So in my case,
in addition to doing the above patch I also uninstall the AVG antivirus
software.
Problem solved.
