Placeholder Order Control Bug - Powerpoint 2007

Hi Everyone,

I consider myself an expert user of PPT but I haven't been able to locate
the answer to my problem. Currently, I have created my own template through
the use of the Master Slide. My Master Slide consists of custom animation,
shapes, pictures, and triggers, in addition to the title and content
placeholders. While in Master Slide View, I've sent the placeholders to the
back so that the other animations, shapes, pictures, and triggers should
theoretically be on top. However, when I create a slide and type in a title,
the title has found its way back to the FRONT. Going back to the Master
Slide, the placeholders are neatly tucked in the back but PPT seems to ignore
what I want by shifting the placeholders back to the front while in Normal
View. I've been playing with this for weeks without any luck. Any help
would be greatly appreciated and I would be happy to clarify any questions.
Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the quick response John. However, I'm not sure that adding the
objects from the master by copying and pasting to every slide is the best
solution as this will likely make the file size balloon up. As well, I was
hoping to utilize this set of Master Slides as a template that other less
experienced users can also use. Essentially, I've borrowed some key ideas
from Shawn Toh's drop-down menu animation and built something from scratch on
my own and noticed that text typed into the placeholders would appear in
FRONT of the drop-down menu (instead of the other way around).

The obvious question would be...is there is way to get around this OR to
somehow make the drop down menu be in FRONT without having to copy and paste
to each slide. I've visited that route before (copying and pasting to each
slide) and within 20 slides the file size goes up to 2MB with no additional
text or pictures. Naturally, I add a lot more valuable pictures, text, and
animations to my presentations so the file size can only go up (even AFTER
compression).

Thanks in advance.

I tried this but it didn't work:

All of the animations on my Master Slide are activated by triggers. Thus, I
attempted to animate the placeholders (from the Master Slide) by setting them
to transparent. Making the placeholders transparent was not an issue but it
refused to let me trigger it with other animations in the Master Slide. Once
again, I understand that I can get around this by copying and pasting in
Normal View but this is not a viable solution as it would blow up the file
size and I would like to maintain everything through the Master Slide instead.

Thus, any solutions to control the animation trigger of a placeholder in
Master Slide View would likely be a compatible one. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated!
