pester in c:\recycler ...what does it mean?

I can't access the c:\recycler directory but I have a program that says
there is a pester in that directory. I typed the directory manually into the
Explorer address bar, but it still won't come up, even with the hidden files
shown. Any suggestions?

Are you logged in as an Admin? You should be able to browse to that
directory so I would think something fishy is going on with the machine.
Try booting into recovry console or safe mode and deleting the file. I
would also run a good virus scan on the machine while you are at it.

That is the recycle bin on an NTFS drive - if you empty the bin the file
should vanish
If you have several user accounts, you may need to logon as each until
you have emptied the part of the bin for files deleted when that account
was in use

That was why I could not get rid of it. Once I switched users to clean
house, the file finally disappeared.
