Permanently disable MS Narrator

I followed instructions received elsewhere and thought this had been accomplished. No so! The "voice" is haunting me and the blue bordered rectangle that accompanies the narrator is still blocking my view. Please help. This is probably the most annoying of any function in MS Office.

you can turn it off, but not 'permanently' destroy a Windows app. It'll just come back with more troops.

  1. Power on your PC. ...
  2. Click on the Windows icon. ...
  3. Select Ease Of Access Center. ...
  4. Look to the lower part of the new window in the Ease Of Access Center category. ...
  5. Uncheck the box reading Turn On Narrator.
