PDF Print Driver in Excel 97?

Henry

I have a recollection of being told some time ago that there is a PDF Print
Driver buried somewhere in MS Excel and that it can be installed so that it
will work with any package in a similar way to PDF Distiller.

I have done a Google search and have drawn a blank.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

If so could you advise me how it may be activated, or where I can find
details on the web.

What version of Excel and what version of Operating System

Excel 97 running under Win 2000 on a network.
Can I assume then that you have heard of this feature?

Then you definitely do not have this from Microsoft.

I've seen rumors of PDF writers being available, but I think
they've all been false reports, or at least not available in retail versions.

You mention a network. You may very well have it (hidden) on your
network but not available to you because it would cost
a lot to include you and even more to include all your co-workers.

Thank you David,

I suspected that what I had been told was false.

Unfortunately I cannot remember who told me, and I suspect that it was
someone who had Distiller and did not realise what it was and somehow
thought it was something to do with Excel because that was where they first
saw it.

As it happens, I have an Acrobat Licence and can use Distiller, but I was
just vaguely hopeful that there might be a cut down version that my
co-workers can use, but it seems not - never mind.

cheers

Henry
