PCMCIA Card for attaching ATA hard drive

I am looking for a means to attach a hard drive to the exterior of my laptop
for the purpose of data recovery. The drives are ATA. I have seen PCMCIA
cards for USB connections and for attaching SATA drives. I would like to
attach a 40 pin ATA cable to the card and have a source for powering the
hard drive. This would offer me the easiest means for looking at ATA
drives. If anyone has seen such a thing I would appreciate any help in
obtaining one.
