Welcome to this weeks edition of the news at PC Review. If you have anything which you think may be of interest to post in next weeks news edition, please send it to (e-mail address removed).

One of the most interesting developments this week in the technology area is the probable anti-spam law to be introduced by the US. The BBC has a full report of the development, which some critics say does not go far enough to solve the problem. It is certainly a start in the right direction to stop one of the biggest irritations about being online. Spam now accounts for an estimated 50% of global email traffic, compared with 8% two years ago.

Just announced yesterday was the fact that the EU has made it illegal to send spam e-mail, unless the recipient has signed up to it. Sky News have the full report.

ViperLair also has an interview with the VIA Chipset Marketing Manager, and query him the future chipsets, as well as why we would want to utilise some new features appearing on VIA chipsets.

TheTechReport have a review of the Shuttle XPC ST61G4 - a SSF PC based on the ATI Radeon 9100 IGP chipset. This is an untried chipset, but features a semi-powerful 9200-esq onboard graphics card. Unfortunately, this isn't something the gamer would be after judging by its performance, but possible a media PC enthusiast.
