I'm using the standard query tool in the QBE window. The parameter query is
supposed to return the dates as entered. i.e.

Where are you located (or, more to the point, how are you keying in the
dates?)

Regardless of what the Short Date format has been set to in Regional
Settings, you must use mm/dd/yyyy format (or some unambiguous format such as
dd mmm yyyy or yyyy-mm-dd)

If that is the problem (i.e. you're trying to use dd/mm/yyyy), you may want
to read "International Dates in Access", by Allen Browne, at
http://members.iinet.net.au/~allenbrowne/ser-36.html or what I have in my
September, 2003 Smart Access column at

[Enter Start Date:] And <[Enter End Date:] . I've tried using the Between
"this" and "this" format as well. I've even tried pasting the criteria on 4
different rows and re-positioning the criteria in the left part of the query
in the QBE window. My dates are formatted as short dates, although I've
tried using long dates too.The query sorts on about 8000 records but, with
the dates sorted descending to make it easier for the query to pick them
out. I tried starting from scratch with a new db several times and
everything else i could think of. I don't know what else to do. Any help?
I'd be real happy.
