Page File and Processing Power being eaten up by multiple cidaemon.exe

Usually after connecting to the internet, multiple instances of ciadaemon.exe keep showing up in the task manager and using up all my processor speed. When it happens, my Page File Usage goes up 10 fold, and the system unbelievably slow. I do a search for cidaemon.exe and two files come up; one with the usual spelling and the other with number and characters in the file name in a folder called the Prefetch folder? What is going on !?!?!?!?!? This is a recent occurence, perhaps a new virus ????? Hope somebody has a clue out there; I sure don't. Thank
