/PAE and /3GB switches

We are running 2000 asvanced server with 6GB of RAM. The system is a SQL
database server running MS Clustering services for failover to another
server. If we use the switchs of /PAE and /3GB which should give the OS 1gb
of RAM and 5gb to applications will 1gb be enough for the OS and is the
Clustering considered in the 1gb portion or the app portion. Also we have it
on a Dell 6650 with a PERC 3DC card that takes some of the RAM, will this RAM
be taken from the 1gb that we give the OS or the 5gb?

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

I wouldn't recommend using /PAE and /3GB in the Boot.ini. Have you read the
following article?
