Thanks for responding, Roady, which configuration details did you mean?

I'm using MSOffice 2003 on a dell inspiron notebook running xp pro.

Which email account type are you using?
Do you get this error for every email that you send or only when you put
this distribution list in the Bcc field?
When exactly are your receiving this error?

These kind of details and anything more you can provide which might be
relevant to this issue. We cannot look over your shoulder to see what is
going on so the more accurate you are the better chance we have to help you
solve this issue.

It is only happening with this distribution group, so I have come to the
conclusion that it is corrupted in some way.

I am trying to get a new copy from my original source.

however i am using outlook on some machines and OE on others, and am
frustrated that there seems to be no way to export mail or contacts between
the two...

PS The messaage actually breferences MS Word 2003 ( the editor) rather than
Outlook itself!

Indeed; recreate the distribution list.

You can use the Import function within OE on the machine that you are
running Outlook. You then can transfer the dbx and wab-files.
