Outlook Folder View on Shared Folder. Outlook 2002.

I have just set up a user on Outlook 2002 who have the obvious access to
their usual folders.

They also want access to a shared mailbox (or more).

I assumed the correct way to do this is:

File>Open>Others Users Folder> the selecting the folder by name.

This works and opens the other user’s folder but it is opening it up as a
new window.

How do I get it so that it opens the folder up and it is viewable with the
folder (tree) on the left, like the personal folders at the top, the public
folders underneath and then these other folders which access are required
too.

Also, another program (unknown) is trying to access outlook to send mail,
how do you establish what program is trying to access this?

No Adobe other than reader installed. May be an Bespoke App that is used.
Just need to establish how it is accessing it.

As for the Outlook, all the permissions are set up. He previously had access
to these folders and we have had to put him onto a new PC (no roaming
profiles) and it is just when I open the inbox that is all I get, the inbox,
I need all of the folders underneath where they e-mails are stored.

Does that make sense? Is it a matter of opening the PST?

Most likely an add-in. Do you have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) installed as
well?
