This is a new problem (~1 wk)
I have 2 laptops and this desktop computer running thru a router. The laptops (wireless) appear to send and receive fine but the desktop will not send.
I have stopped virus scan on outgoing email and increased my server timeout to 5 minutes (max). The item never leaves my outbox and does not show up in sent file but some people have gotten 30-40 copies of an email that never showed up in the sent file.
I spoke with the concast rep. and he said "not a comcast problem."

I keep my virus scans and windows updates up to date.

Sorry this is so long but I am at wits end.

TIA
Chuck

If people are receiving multiple copies of messages, whether or not they are in Sent Items, it would appear that they are being sent.

Why they are not leaving the Outbox I do not know, but why they are not arriving in Sent Items could be because Outlook Express is not set up to copy messages sent into the Sent Items folder.

Tools > Options > Send
[check] Save copies of sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder
