I've checked - no viruses-
Outlook taking 2-3 minutes to open even small attachments and failing to do
so part of the time -
Any suggestions?

Your Outlook Secure Temp Folder is too full. With Outlook closed, click
Start>Run and enter %temp% in the Open field. Click OK. A Windows Explorer
window will open. In the Folder list at the left, locate Temporary Internet
Folders, which should be right below Temp. Click on the plus sign to the
left of Temporary Internet Folders and locate a folder whose name stars with
OLK. Right-click this folder and choose Delete. Now restart Outlook and
try again.

I have Outlook 2003. Strangely I found OLK2 shortcut in recent but could not
find an OLK folder. Lately my attachements have taken to long to send.

The OLK folder will have numbers in the name, usually 3 digits. Search for
OLK* to see if that helps.

Only a dll, no folder and I have deleted temp items with ccleaner. My
outgoing pdfs are very slow now. I note synchronization runs and don't see
anything about how to turn it off. I turned off archiving. I have over 2gis
in my pst. I compacted.

Are you sure you're viewing hidden files and folders? Did you specifically
enable this in Windows Explorer?
