Please can anyone help?

I have Outlook 2007 running under Windows XP.

Outlook repeatedly fails to open, giving the message "Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close". This can happen 30 or forty times before Outlook opens.

Event Viewer gives me the following
"Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6504.5000, stamp 49e7f47e, faulting module rpcrt4.dll, version 5.1.2600.5795, stamp 49e5f46d, debug? 0, fault address 0x0000b34f."

I have run detect and repair several times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing is working.

I'd be grateful if someone can help.

Thanks
Phil

Welcome to the forums Phil :)

Are you able to open Outlook in safe mode? Type "outlook.exe /safe" in to the run box or hold down CTRL when clicking the outlook icon (and while it loads).

The only mentions of this problem that I can find relate to Windows XP SP2, do you have SP3 install (the latest, and it's been out a few months now)?
