I have Outlook 2007 and have been trying for over a week to configure it to
work with Live mail. Everyone tells me to do the same stuff I've tried and
doens
t work. There's supposed to be a popup after downloading Outlook Connecter
to configure Connector. NOPE. NOT thERE. Won't send OR receive. No error
messages, just won't work. It's turned into a $239.00 telephone book. What am
I doing wrong? This is my last hope. After this it goes back to the store for
a refund and I'm done with anythinhg new from MS. HELP....PLEASE

I'm running Outlook 2007 on Vista Ultimate 32 and have the Outlook Connector
installed. It created a Menu Bar item in Outlook 2007 where all the setup
information can be entered, new accounts can be created, etc. Do you have
this item in your Outlook Menu Bar? Any chance you might have downloaded
the Outlook connector but not installed it?

When I click on the "ADD NEW ACCOUNT" nothing happens. PERIOD. I'm beginning
to think it's either a bad program (meaning defective not poor) or something
in my computer. "TEST ACCOUNT SETTINGS" don't work. I've been at it for
almost 2 weeks now and can't figure it out. I'm about to bag the whole thing
and look for a different program and get away from MS sorry to say. Most of
what's on my computer is MS and I'm constantly fighting with stuff. It COULD
be my antivirus I guess, but it just doesn't act like it.

I just found out that my son's Office Suite will not work on my compter
either. Something in the Vista? I can't stand Vista, but it's what the comp.
came with.

What version of Office does your son have?

Did you have a profile configured in Outlook before installing the
connector? After installing the connector, the next time you open outlook it
should popup with the acct dialog. Or you can add the acct in Control panel,
mail.

I have 2 computers with vista and it works just fine on both, so the problem
isn't with vista.

Did you try making a new profile and adding the connector acct before ever
opening outlook? Have you tried office diagnostics?

Outlook 2007 with the Outlook Connector works just fine on Vista. If you'd
describe exactly what you've tried we can tell you what's wrong.
