I finally found a solution to this problem!!
"Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found."
It is a corrupt form file. Once deleted everything work normally
Here is how to do it.
Close Outlook
Go to Control Panel, Open folder options, select view tab, down the you will
see a hidden files and folder, Select show hidden files and folders.
Close the control panel.
Open my computer and search down the directories.
Local Disk (C:)>Users>(your user name)>AppData>Local>Microsoft>FORMS
Delete the folder named FORMS, its corrupt!
Close the window and open Outlook 2007, everything should work fine now.
You may want to go back to folder options and select to hide files and
folders.
That took too much work!

Hi Roady
That's what got me. I never did a custom form. I run Outlook as it comes
from Microsoft. I did a clean install of Vista and Office 2007 and did an
easy transfer from my old setup (XP, Office 2003). The was there from the
start; Could not install the custom actions. No other repair routine or
install/uninstall fixed this problem. Only what I described brought about a
solution.
Thanks!

Makes me wonder how you installed the custom Form in the first place.

Must have been something on your previous installation and that got
transfered with your settings so in that sense it doesn't count as a clean
install anymore ;-)

Thanks for posting this fix, a quick google saved me hours. Worked like a charm, I also did not create a custom form. Mine started when I tried to listen to a voice message - viewmail rules set on server but not installed yet on notebook.

We found this happened anytime we opened up Outlook under an older version(like 200-2003) and then went back to Outlook 2007. It will continue to corrupt the file unit you quit accessing it thru the old Outlook. The file that needs to be deleted is the frmcache.dat file

still happening

We have new pc's. New install of Office 2007. This happens everyother day after I remove the Forms folder on multiple computers. None of us use Forms.

Any idea what to do now?

I'm using Office 2007 SP1. I ran into this same problem and deleting frmcache.dat seems to have solved it. I was getting the error message whenever I opened a piece of mail or created a new one.

It may be notable that this condition began when I processed a recall message I recieved from someone using Outlook 2003. At the time, I received warning messages processing that recall - not documented - sry.

It appears, anecdotally, that this can occur is the user signs into an Outlook Web Access session. Obviously there are extenuating circumstances, but I believe that is what triggered this in my case. Deleting the FORMS folder as specified in the OP fixed the problem for me.
