outlook 2003 won't download all emails

Hi

Sudenly, I cannot receive any emails after 18th May. I have used
System Restore t undo Windows Updates, but it has made no difference.
Any suggestions?

There must be an error message associated with the send/receive progress
when it's unable to complete? That error message would be the key. Make sure
you view the send/receive progress bar and note the message. Please post it
in its entirety.

I had the same thing happen with the following error message:

Message: reported error (0x800421A) the operation timed out waiting for
response from the receiving POP server. If you continue to receive this
message, contact your server administrator or ISP.

Hotmail works fine, just other email doesn't come through. I can still
receive.

Checked with ISP, all tests fine!

Your version of Outlook?

Also, how often are you polling for email? More frequently than 10 minutes
can result in this type of issue. In addition, is antivirus actively
scanning incoming and outgoing email? This can cause problems as well and
email scanning isn't required to keep you secure since your real time
scanner will catch everything it's updated for.
