Outlook 2003 vs. Outlook 2003 with BCM

T

Terri

I have just installed the Office Beta 2. I have two
issues. One is that everytime I try to open a contact,
calendar entry, task or email, a dialog box opens warning
me that "a program is trying to access email addresses
you have stored in Outlook" and asks me if I want to
allow this for a 1 - 10 minute period. This is a ROYAL
pain.

My second issue is that I have downloaded the Outlook
2003 BCM from Microsoft (as it was a full replacement for
the version included on the Beta CDs). I go through the
install process, yet nothing appears to have changed on
the Outlook 2003 install. I don't see any of the BCM
related options/links that the Help system tells me that
I should see under Help on the Outlook 2003 toolbar.
It's as if the BCM is not installed.

Any suggestions for either of the above problems are
aprpeciated. Thanks!

on the first - it's bcm causing the error and you need to trust the bcm dll.
search at groups.google.com for BCM, looking for posts from Patricia
cardoza. she's the resident expert on BCM (she's the only one with enough
patience to use it <g>) and I believe she's answered this question a few
times.

the second one might be a problem with toolbars - find and rename
outcmd.dat.
