Outlook 2003 SP1- Slow response in preview pane

When I change focus to a new email in the inbox, there is a noticable delay
changing the view in the preview pane. I am not on a network but do have
the *.pst file on another partition of the hard drive. I have a fast system
speed normally.

Try disabling IM integration at the bottom of Tools>Options>Other

I can not find the IM integration info..

Did you look where I told you? The Smart Tag stuff at the bottom is the IM
integration.
