Outlook 2003 doesnt work after XP Home sleep mode

OS: XP Home
Here is the problem:
1. Log in to XP Home.
2. Outlook 2003 works fine.
3. After some time of inactivity, the machine goes to
sleep mode.
4. I interrupt the sleep mode.
5. Outlook doesn't work, it says the program wasn't
installed properly.
6. If I simply log off and log on to XP, Outlook 2003
works like a champ!

Any ideas as what's causing this?
