Outlook 2003 crashes constantly Event id 1000

I have 3 machines running XP Pro and Office 2003. All 3
crash 2 or 3 times in Outlook 2003. When I look at the
event log I get the following message:
Event ID 1000
Type: Error
Souce: Microsoft 11

There is no information related to this event ID on the
link below. Users are driving me nuts because they can't
even open or send an email, the application closes itself.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.5510.0,
stamp 3f1380f0, faulting module outllib.dll, version
11.0.5608.0, stamp 3f35d24e, debug? 0, fault address
0x006925c8.

Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried renaming outllib.dll to outllib.bak and then perform a detect
and repair via the add/remove applet in the control panel? If you have
already gone this route, try starting Outlook in safe mode, you might have
an add-in that isn't compatible with Outlook 2003.

ps - to start outlook in safe mode, the command is "outlook.exe /safe". in
theory this should start outlook w/ no add-ins.

Thanks for your suggestions, I will try what you said.
But how come this happen if these computers are brand new
and all have a clean Windows XP and Office 2003
installation??

In theory it shouldn't be happening, however weirder things have been known
to happen where something is added that the support person didn't expect.
In this case, I found other postings in this newsgroups by searching google
that a 3rd party addin could generate an identical message to the one you
described.
