We're using a program called Forrest & Trees which sends
email using the outlook profile. Whenever sending mail
through Forrest & Trees we'd get the message, "A program
is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in
outlook. Do you want to allow this?" To get around this
we did registry hack to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER=>Software=>Policies=>Microsoft where we
add a key called "Security" and gave it a DWORD value
of "CheckAdminSettings" with a value of 2. This fixed the
problem in Outlook 2002 running on Windows 2000. We're
currently upgrading to Office 2003 and Windows XP. The
particular registry hack doesn't seem to work. Does
anyone know of another way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
