Outlook 2002 Rule Doesn't Function

Hi All,

I have Outlook 2002 running on a Win2K machine. I created an inbox rule
to move my mail to my .pst file (secondary store) on a separate drive.
When I created the rule initially, it worked - but the next time I
received mail, it stayed on the primary store - I went into the rule and
chose "run now" and the messages processed as they should - Is this a
known issue with Outlook 2002? Any fix?

Thanks

John

Listen John I think there can be an issue that if the subject of an email uses certain characters then the rules can be avoided. It seems to me Spam which uses many nonsense characters in their subjects must be doing so for a reason. I am not saying this is your issue just that I'm finding out that rules seem to be easily overridden.

George,

I think you're right. I sent some tests from my yahoo account, from my
wife, and from my own account -- all of those msgs followed the rule as
prescribed - the messages I got prior to this posting were
UCE....So...without even trying, I created a spam filter....my primary
store inbox! haha! I wasn't even trying to do that - I simply wanted to
create a safe place for all of my email (.pst file on separate drive) -
Looks like the spammers outsmarted themselves. Unreal.

Thanks George...have a happy holiday!

John
