option button groups interact with eachother

I'm using Excel 2010.
I made a file with 10 sheets and on each sheet 10 group boxes with 5 option buttons each.
So the feedback I receive in the 10 linked cells per sheet is for each group box a number between 1 and 5.

everything worked great, but suddenly the option button groups are not working anymore for some groups. they interact with eachother and an option button in group 1 gets deselected when I select a button in group 7 ...

I don't find the reason/solution since it worked great at first.

Option buttons like you're using here have a lot of overhead in tow,
IMO. I prefer to use a single cell with DV dropdown for user choices.
This way I only have to manage 1 cell in the Worksheet_Change event for
each group of choices (rather than n buttons), and no extra toolbox
controls to mess with!
