Whenever i try to open multiple excel files, They open in a same window. How

Thanks in advance.

I have the same point. This option only docks the open files in
separate taskbar items. But still the different sheets are in the same
window.

Right click the Taskbar. Go to Properties - Taskbar. If Group similar
taskbar buttons is checked, uncheck it.

I don't know if this will help anyone or not...but if you are using 2
monitors and need to open a seperate instance of excel:
Tools - Options - General - Check "Ignore Other Applications".

That will open a completely seperate window/instance of excel which you can
move independently from the 1st excel window.

HI jaleel,
Thanks for your help. But it works only with the active window. when i
reboot the system again they open in the same window. But as of now iam happy
for the solution you gave. thank you .

Although...use with caution. Excel acts a little strange with this feature
turned on. Opening files and XL Start items requires a workaround.

Not a good idea to leave this on all the time. Turn it on to open a second
file, and then change it back when you are finished.
