OL2003 - Automatically Sending Mail to Yourself...

....my company uses Exchange Server, all users have OL2003. To conserve
storage space, we wish to stop OL automatically saving outbound emails to the
"Sent Items" folder. Instead, we would either like:
a) OL to add the users name automatically to the "To", "CC", or "BCC" field
(when they can apply rules or decide to save or not), or better still,
b) When a users clicks "Send", they are asked something like "Do you want to
save this message and, if so, where?". I assume the latter would use VBA, but
any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Amanda

Can you not get users to uncheck the option "Save copies of messages in Sent
Items Folder" ? within Tools & Options ?? then clicking on the "E-mail
options" button. I assume this can be done via a policy or something as well ?

Hope this helps

It's more than this. We will be applying a policy that automatically stops
items being placed in the "Sent Items" folder anyway. What we want is to make
users decide whether or not an email NEEDS to be saved for document retention
purposes, and if so - prompt them to do it., rather than them having to
remember to copy themselves.
