office source engine system error

For some unkown reason I suddenly get "Interface not Registered" when I try
sending an email using Word as my email editorin my Outlook Program. To try
and fix it I went to help/Detect and Repair, but when I run it it comes up
with error 25090. Office Source engine system error -2147023838. I can
still use just the HTMl feature for email but it's getting frustrating, I've
had nothing but problems with my 2003 Student/Teacher edition. Any help on
this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of thoughts.

1) Make sure the Office Source Engine is set to manual in the service
applet. (start > run > services.msc > scroll thru the list and make sure it
is listed and set to manual.)

2) Put your Office 2003 CD in the drive and run setup. Do a detect and
repair because it is possible that the Local Install Source (the hidden
MSOCache folder) or the setup files under program files\microsoft office are
toast. Running detect/repair from the CD might help repair this.

"Just want to say thankyou for your quick reply to my problem. I went to the discussions in Outlook General Questions and read about the same problem someone else was having since my copy is also "oem". One of the fixes was to got to Start/Run and type in Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll. That did the trick, Outlook is now running normally again, don't know how long it will last but I kept the fix incase it happens again.
