Im trying to get this to work as my boss is on holiday and has told me he
wants it working around the company by the time he gets back. I have read all
the microsoft articles and changed all the settings on everyone's computer
within the domain. I have now been testing it with a collegue who can connect
to me but i cannot not connect to them. We are not using windows firewall,
has anyone got any suggestions.

Thanks

Trying to get *what* working and how? You haven't told us what you are
actually trying to do. Does your boss want the IT Dept. to be able to
help people at home?

Be more precise about your end goal and make sure you include the
structure of your network and security. Right now all we know is that
you have a domain and the workstations aren't using the Windows
Firewall. What *are* you using?

The boss wants us to use remote assistance to connect to users internally
around the company to be able to solve their problems. We are using a local
network, with and external firewall. Where using windows server2003, and
everything is managed via active directory. Sorry if im a bit vague im quite
new at this job.

I would post your question in one of the server or AD groups, with a
cross-post to the "work remotely" group. Review the first link I'll
give you for what details to include in your post. This post you've
made is a bit better than the first one, but it would be helpful to
know how many workstations you've got. Perhaps RA isn't the best
solution for you. The server folks will probably want to know something
about your physical network hardware also.

Using Google is very important if you're going to be a sysadmin. Here
are some links I found for you that look like good starting points. I
do not think you're necessarily going to get this up and running by
this weekend. I don't know how long the boss gave you to do this, but
it would be foolish to set something up half-as**d instead of taking
the time to learn what you are doing and do it correctly.
