Oblivion game of the year edition(loud dial-up noise in game)

hello there. i've just purchased a copy of oblivion and i downloaded the 2 extra expansion packs with it. when i go on the game it makes this loud screeching dial up noise when i move my chararcter and when i am loading up my last save point. Aint got a clue what it might be and looking on the net i havent really seen any solutions to it either. dunno whether its just a bug or what. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks a lot

Found out what it was. my sound settings were set to full acceleration. looks like my pc couldnt handle the sounds out of the game on full so now its on basic and its all fine. I know that a few people have had this problem aswell so could be useful information. cheers
