"Object not registered"?

When I try to send an e-mail I get the message "Object not registered".
What is that - and what should I do?

what com add-ins are installed? Try disabling any (if installed) to locate
the possible culprit.

Had this issue. User had copied/paste an email address containing a rather strange @ sign.
Evidence is that NameCheck button fails, displaying the same error message.
Writing the email address of this guy fixed the problem.
