ntoskrnl.exe

I have a windows 2000 machine that I am booting but not
able to boot any longer. New third party software was
upgraded but the system was rebooted several times after
the upgrade without any issues. I am now receiving the
following error:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file
is missing or corrupt:
windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

What remedy can you suggest if no backup or emergency
repair disk was created?

Your Boot file is missing, damaged, or.... You need the 4
Boot floppy disks to get into your OS. Go to your local
libray or friend, and go to Microsoft.com and download
the boot disk file. Downloading to Burner won't work when
you use the disk./
