notepad to word

I have been able to open documents in word but now it is
telling me that the files are to large for notepad and
would i like to open in word but nothing happens. I would
like to know how to open the documents in word only like i
was doing before.

Notepad is very limited in size to about one page. If you are talking about
Wordpad, not MS Word, open it and click File/open/files of type/all documents (*.*)
