Not enough server storage (drive access)

My new clean install windows XP pro computer has 3 hard
drives however the boot drive (C) can not be accessed
through the Network places. (drive is shared with full
permissions) This is consistant if I try it locally, or
remotely from either another XP computer or a W2k
computer that are on my home network. The other 2 drives
access just fine. The entire message reads, "Not enough
server storage is available to process this command" On
the XP computers it suggest that I don't have permission
but I do. I have gone thought permissions setup with a
fine tooth comb. The MS KB has an article on this but it
only referes to users of ARC Server software which I
don't have.

"Not enough server storage is available to process this
command"

This seems to indicate a problem with a parameter called
"irpstacksize" on the XP machine.
Check the event viewer on the XP desktop for an event ID
2011.

If so then do the following,

To set the IRPStackSize back to the default (15 for XP,
11 for NT), perform
the following steps:

1. Start the registry editor (e.g., regedit.exe).
2. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Services\lanmanserver\parameters.
3. Double-click IRPStackSize (or if this registry
setting doesn't exist,
create it of type DWORD and ensure the case is correct).
4. Change the base to decimal, set the value to 11 for
Win2K or NT or 15
for XP, and click OK.
5. Reboot the computer."

Buddy you are SO AWSOME!
THANK YOU, thank you, thank you.
I looked everywhere for this answer. At first I thought
the problem was with my W2k computer and I posted there
but no one knew the answer.

I never though to look for an event log. I didn't know XP
had one. I used it a lot on WIN NT.

I don't think NAV caused this because I have it on 2
other XP computers that didn't have this problem.

Thanks again, Tbrox
