Norton Internet Security 2004 update

I just updated my NIS2002 to NIS2004. I have been
attempting to use the auto liveupdate and I keep getting
Update unable to complete
WindowsXP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1
NAVNT 10.00
Can anyone tell me what the problem is?
I have tried to contact Symantec three times and have not
received a response. How do you get help from them after
you purchase their product?

I also have tried to reach them after purchasing their

internet security package. They seem to be a collection
of computers with no real person working there anymore.
