Norton and dual-boot

I have a computer with WindowsME on the C partition and
Windows XP Pro on the D partition. I have just installed
Norton antivirus 2003. Upon reboot there was a window from
Norton stating that a change occured regarding the boot
partition. I check the radio button stating that the
change was not unexpected. I reboot the machine and I
can't see anymore the menu of the boot.ini, and I can't
boot anymore from XP.
I change boot.ini for different partition number, but no
chance. It's always booting directly to ME.
Please anybody can help?? I don't want to format.
Thanks in advance

I'd suggest reinstalling XP. By checking that button saying that the change
wasn't expected, you told Norton that the install you just did was a
virus -- and it did what it was supposed to -- it deleted it.

There might be another way around it, but reinstalling isn't a big deal.
