Non-admin Users can't logon to W2k Adv. Server after AD installed

Hi everyone,

Just installed Active Directory so we could increase some
licenses on our server. Got it all setup ok, and it works.

However, non-admin users can't seem to logon. Someone I
know mentioned something about using a group policy to
sort it out as its a permissions thing.

Can someone point me in the right direction to a KB
article or post the answer.

Very much appreciated.

Hi Simon
You need to provide more information. Is it a an upgrade on your former winNT 4.0 former domain ???

That is by design. You should have noticed this when this was just server,
by default non admins will not be able to login to this machine and that is
certainly the preferred way to leave it. If you want to change it you must
configure the Domain Controller Security Policy and there is an option for
login locally, there you can add who you want to be able to login to this
machine.

Just to add, may also have to give them the "Log on Iteractively" Right in
addition to Log On Locally.
