No sound with div4

whenever i try to play a video that has div4 codec my
media player says its trying to download a decompressor
and then i get this error msg:

"Unable to download an appropriate decompressor.
(Error=80040200) "

i have tried everything to fix this problem... dowloaded
several different applications... divx... ac3... i've
tried dowloading an fcc changer (i think thats what its
called) to change the video codec from div4 to div3 which
plays fine on my computer but nothing has worked.... i've
also downloaded avicodec which is suppose to tell me what
is wrong and missing from my file so i can download that
and have it play but nothing has worked... if anyone can
help me... i would love them forever...

DIV4 is just a pirated/hacked version of the Microsoft MPEG4 v3 codec. Your
content provider would be the best person to ask about how to get this file
playing for you. DIV3/DIV4 are both troublesome codec hacks because there's
all sorts of codecs that attempt to halfheartedly play them, and only a few
that do it right.
