Nmap –n switch command is used to scan large number of machines in single session. And supported by different OS like Unix, Linux and Windows. Nmap scan determined the state of port should be open, filtered or unfiltered. Open means target machine receives incoming request. Filtered means network filter is screening the port or firewall and preventing nmap whereas Unfiltered means no firewall or filter is interfering nmap request and determined port to be closed.
