News Groups

I just upgraded form Windows ME to Windows XP and loaded Office 2003 which includes Outlook 2003.

I was able to import all my addresses, folders and Messages form outlook express, BUT I cannot figure out how to access newsgroups
from outlook 2003. (I sent this from Outlook Express).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Outlook is not and never will be a news reader.
Use OE.

Thanks, I should have guessed. I have been using OE for years.

It just seems silly to have to run both Outlook AND Outlook Express.
I'm sure there is some logic in it, I just cannot figure it out.

Again, Thanks

The logic is that Outlook is a PIM and email client designed first and
foremost to be the front end to Exchange Server. Reading newsgroups has
nothing to do with email or PIM functions. Most corporate users have little
interest or need to give their employees ready access to newsgroups every
time they launch their email client.
Why add the overhead of NNTP capability to an email/PIM program?
