News command in Outlook 2003 has disappeared. How can I recover?

I installed Outlook and wanted to use the News reader. I attempted to drag n
drop the news command but it has fatefully disappeared from all command
menus. How can I recover it? I have un-installed Office and re-installed it,
but the problem is still there.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in 'Control
Panel|Internet Options' and change the default newsreader to Outlook
Express. If OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next
time you launch it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then
click the "No" button.

Sorry Hal, I thought I just had to click on the 'yes' button and that would
automatically let you know that your note had solved my problem. As it is, I
seem to have another reminder to re-visit this page.
Many thanks for the advice - I did what you suggested and this has cleared
the problem!
Thank You

I had the same problem and I got it back by restoring the computer to the day
before configuration. I was able to put the "news" back under the go
command. After the computer was shut down for a while the same problem was
back.
