New MBR Freeware - MBRWizard

R

Roger Layton

Hi All,

I've been working on a command line utility to directly modify the
MBR, I call it MBRWizard. It will set partitions active for booting,
hide/unhide, sort the entries, and even backup and restore the entire
MBR sector. I decided to release it as freeware in case others might
find it useful.

I have a version for DOS/9x, NT/2K/XP, and have just finished a
version for Linux. Please take a look at this and let me know if you
find it useful, or what you might change to make it useful.

Thanks,
Roger

First, a big thank you!
I haven't tried it yet.
A suggestion:
I think a text file of the type I'll post in
alt.binaries.freeware named MbrWizard.txt would useful to
include in the download.
Second, I wonder if a 32 bit version wouldn't be more
appropriate for win98fe, 98se, me, and the 16 bit version for
the earlier OSes.
